I wanted to raise the children’s perspective. Through different workshops with children, I designed an element that functions as a room divider, exhibition surface, play element and sound absorber.
Wool has the ability to regulate the air around us, is self-cleaning and sound absorbing. All great traits for a preschool environment. It is tactile and can regulate our nervous system.
With its lightness, this spatial element can change our space throughout the day, both by standing on the floor individually or in a group, as well as be hung down from the ceiling forming a roof to sit under.
By using playful shapes and colours we invite the children to play and learn in an environment that doesn’t control their imagination. They are the inventors themselves, as I have handpicked and sketched the form through children’s drawings.
